We are a mid-sized design practice with a focus on sustainable regional urbanism.

  • We advocate creative and authentic design outcomes
  • We believe collaboration and knowledge sharing drive superior results
  • We value honesty and ethics in our dealings
  • We believe we can positively contribute to our communities
  • We strongly foster balance in our place of work

Our values are reflected in the practice’s commitment to industry research, to community design, to the organisations we support and through our advocacy efforts.

One small example of our values in action is our involvement in PARK(ing) Day, a global event that calls attention to the need for more open space in our cities.

We also support the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s (UDIA) Women In Development Awards program, which recognises the significant contribution of women working within the development industry.

Our directors and senior staff contribute to the design profession through key industry roles and representation. Peter Richards is a member of the Board for Urban Places and a former chair of the Centre for Subtropical Design; John Deicke is a member of the Board of Architects of Queensland; and Eloise Atkinson is a member of the Board of the Brisbane Housing Company.
