Aveo Springfield Development Begins

29 April 2016

Aveo’s retirement village at Springfield began today, with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk turning the first sod on the site.

The development, described as Australia’s largest fully integrated seniors village, will include aged care and independent living and a range of facilities shared with the surrounding community.

Deicke Richards will design three buildings within the $1 billion village, master-planned to deliver a diversity of care and accommodation options. The private aged care building provides one and two bedroom apartments in a mixed-use setting, with a two-level wellness centre and main street retail and commercial space at the ground level.

The development is located in Springfield’s 52ha Health City, adjacent to the Mater Private Hospital.  Deicke Richards has assisted with master planning Health City since 2006. The precinct is intended to provide healthcare, medical education and research, aged care and seniors living.
