Barrister’s chambers wins AIA regional commendation

Deicke Richards has won a commendation award for a barrister’s chambers interior fit-out in the small projects category at the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) 2011 Brisbane Regional Architecture Awards.

Thirty-seven projects won commendations and will now compete at the Queensland Architecture Awards in June.

Deicke Richards’ interior designer Magda Myszkowski completed this award-winning work for a fit-out in Santos Place.

The jury commented that the interior, ‘breaks a well set typology to create a space that is not only restrained and professional, but highly personal’.

‘The eccentricities of the client are balanced in a sophisticated fit-out with a touch of humour,’ they said.
