Contributing to Woolloongabba’s future
18 Nov 2010
Deicke Richards has completed urban design and analysis work for the Urban Land Development Authority (ULDA), which will help shape the future for Woolloongabba.
The Woolloongabba Urban Development Area (UDA) occupies a 10.25ha site, 2km from Brisbane’s CBD. It provides the opportunity for a high quality mixed-use community focused around a strategic public transport hub.
Deicke Richards was commissioned earlier this year to complete transit oriented structure planning and master planning work for the ULDA.
The practice provided the urban design to the ULDA’s Structure Plan, which formed part of the area’s draft Development Scheme. The scheme is soon to be submitted to the Queensland Government.
Deicke Richards has now made strategic contributions to some of Brisbane’s most important recent urban regeneration and transit oriented development plans.
In addition to the Woolloongabba work, it has previously contributed to the master plan for Bowen Hills and is presently lead consultant for a transit oriented development (TOD) at Yeerongpilly.
