Crescent House wins Think Brick award

16 Aug 2017

Deicke Richards is excited that Crescent House has been awarded the Think Brick Bruce Mackenzie Landscape Award.

Associate Director and design architect for the project, Luke Watson, created the beautifully crafted undercroft and landscape space, working with Elvis and Rose (architectural masonry) and Steven Clegg Design (landscape).

The Crescent House project extends a 1939 post-war weatherboard house for subtropical family living. The use of brick connects the house to the ground, providing new living spaces to the north in a series of folded vertical and horizontal planes that extend into the landscape.

Deicke Richards congratulates all the Think Brick Australia winners and finalists, announced last week in Melbourne.

From hundreds of entrants, this year’s five category winners were awarded the top honours based on the imaginative, creative and innovative ways in which they used clay brick, concrete masonry and roof tiles in built projects.
