Futures forum to guide master plan

4 Jul 2017

‘What does it mean for ‘place’ if learning can be distributed, virtual, immersive and individual?’ This is one of the questions to be explored later this month, in an education forum with All Hallows School. The forum will guide early work on a new master planning commission for the inner city school. Deicke Richards is leading the project with a team of education and design partners including Lahznimmo Architects, Dr John Holm, Aspect Studio, Urbis, Cambray Consulting and Steele Wrobel. Project Director Eloise Atkinson says the project will explore how the built environment and public realm of the campus can best enable student learning. ‘It’s an opportunity to work very closely with specialist educators and education space planners,’ she said. ‘The forum means we begin the process with a look at the changes going on in learning culture. What will the individual journey of learning in the future look like and what kind of experiences and environments can we provide to support that journey?’
