Peter Richards speaks at US conference

27 Jun 2011

Peter Richards spoke earlier this month at the annual Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) conference in Madison, Wisconsin. He spoke on the use of form-based codes in Australia – a topic which is also a key focus of the Next Generation Planning handbook, released in Queensland last month and contributed to by Deicke Richards.

Peter’s attendance at the CNU event follows his work as an international juror, on behalf of the Australian Council for New Urbanism, for the Form-Based Codes Institute’s annual awards program. The CNU event is the premier urban design conference in the USA with more than 1,000 attendees from all over the world. Peter’s trip included a stopover in Chicago and Milwaukee as well as visits to Frank Lloyd Wright’s residence and studio at Taliesin East. Deicke Richards thanks the Form-Based Codes Institute for its support, enabling Peter’s attendance at the conference.
