Redcliffe set for new school year

8 Dec 2017

Redcliffe State High School’s new assembly hall and administration building will be ready for the new school year. The administration building provides a new public entry to the school, with offices arranged to maximise natural light and staff interconnection. The hall is a generously tall volume, naturally ventilated and lit. The structure is expressed, with industrial louvre windows and ceiling fans that scale well to the space. A terraced amphitheatre is integral and multi-purpose — an overflow for large gatherings and, day to day, incidental space for students to enjoy time outdoors.

Thanks to the Department of Education and Training, Redcliffe State High, the project team (Ridgemill, Wood and Grieve, MPN, Aspect Studios, McLean Consult) and Hutchinson Builders.
