Health City Springfield

Client: Springfield Land Corporation

Health City Springfield is a 52ha integrated health precinct within the Springfield Town Centre and adjacent to Education City. Deicke Richards worked with specialist healthcare planning and architecture firm MAAP, from London, to develop a master plan. This drew on design work completed previously for the wider health precinct. Major urban public and private hospitals will form a central hub for the precinct, surrounded by a wide range of uses in an urban grid of connecting streets. The precinct establishes strong visual and physical links with the adjoining university campus, creating an exciting opportunity for business and research synergies.

Greater Springfield is the largest privately owned master planned city in Australia. Deicke Richards has completed a range of planning and design projects for Springfield Land Corporation. In addition to education and health precinct master plans, the practice designed the Polaris Data Centre and developed the landscape design for the University of Southern Queensland campus, within Education City at Springfield.
