John Deicke
John is a registered architect with more than 25 years’ experience in all areas of architectural practice, including design, contract administration and practice management. He has worked extensively in Australia, Europe and Asia with experience that ranges from complex tertiary education buildings, to affordable housing, to private residential commissions, to assisted and independent aged care.
He has led many of the large scale and complex projects undertaken by the firm in recent years. Among these, he has been responsible for the design of significant projects for Griffith University, including its landmark Science, Engineering and Architecture building (G39) at the entry to the Gold Coast campus. John has a comprehensive understanding of the contemporary design needs of the education sector. He has facilitated master planning workshops for educational campuses and understands how this work shapes successful architectural outcomes. He also oversees the practice’s interior design team, servicing education, commercial, residential and legal sector clients.
John is a member of the Board of Architects and has been involved in the accreditation of architectural programs in design schools across Australia. He also plays a key role within the practice in maintaining many of our longstanding and important client relationships.
